There is so much that I love about this intimate boudoir maternity session that we did in my studio in Houston. If you’ve followed me for a while, you know how much I love studio maternity sessions, especially intimate boudoir maternity sessions. Pregnancy is such a vulnerable time for most women and having a space where you are comfortable is so important.
I get it, life is busy, you may not feel like yourself, or you may just think it’s not necessary. But Mom, if I could encourage you to do one thing during your pregnancy, it’s to take time for yourself. The moment you find out you are pregnant, everything changes and the focus is on your baby. I get that too, but even it’s just for one day, be sure to take the time to celebrate your body and all that it’s doing for you and your baby.
Stress-Free Maternity Photos
My team and I will take care of everything for you. This includes hair and makeup, wardrobe styling, a comfortable environment for your session, and then helping you decide what to do with your portraits. All you have to do is show up!
That’s exactly what Claire did. Claire wanted her maternity session earlier than our normally recommended 30-34 week, so we planned her session for when she was only five months pregnant with baby Isabel. She really wanted a simple, intimate session that showed her embracing her changing body.
I love the first dress that Claire chose for her intimate maternity session. It doesn’t get worn much due to its plunging neckline, but the color is so pretty against her peachy skin tone. I think it was the perfect dress for her to start off her session. The second dress she chose was a beautiful white dress with feminine lace detailing throughout the top. We ended the session with an intimate lace set to show off her growing bump.
Claire is beautiful inside and out. She’s both strong and elegant, and I cannot wait to see her step into her new role as a Mom. And one day, she’ll be able to look back on these moments with Isabel sitting right beside her. Can you imagine how special that will be for both of them?
If you’re expecting and considering an intimate boudoir maternity session, I’d love to chat! We’re booking 2022 due dates and take a limited number of sessions in our Houston studio each week.
