There are about 6,000 babies born in the Houston area each month and I can only photograph six of them. These six babies and their family make my job as a newborn baby photographer in Houston an absolute dream. I keep it small because I pour so much time and energy into every client. Not only do I want to deliver beautiful artwork for them to cherish, but I want to give an equally-matched experience that honors and celebrates the sacred season they are in.

And what a sweet, sweet season this family is in right now with their tiny little girl, Gretel! This is our fourth session together and each one gets better and better. The two older girls absolutely adore their baby sister and were so excited to introduce her to me. Seriously y’all, I could have just eaten them all up. Their little personalities, smiles and constant laughter made for the best time together.

I am already counting down the days until I get to hang out with these three girls and their parents again. Thankfully, we are set to document Gretel’s first year. Be sure to follow along to see her grow!

Gretel is the sweetest little girl with the most adorable features. Her pouty lip photo melts my heart every time – it takes me back to those early days with my babies. I am so thankful we have professional newborn portraits to look back on to remember all of their little details.


I know that going into every newborn session where there are older children, those sibling photos are often the most important ones to parents. Having two big sisters who know me and are comfortable with me made for getting those photos really easily. Although, we did have to hide some fruit snacks in Gretel’s swaddle a few times!
