I don’t know what it is but lately I have had the most amazing newborn sessions with older siblings. And this session where the sweetest family of five welcomes baby brother was no different! This baby boy has two very proud big sisters. To see the three of them together was so sweet.
It was also such a beautiful reminder of what a gift it is to be welcomed into this season of life for so many families here in Houston. I am honored that I get to play a small role in helping preserve your most precious memories from the beginning.
I’ve been photographing this family since their oldest, Raine, was three and Mom was pregnant with Quinn. I’ve watched these two girls grow up, see their bond strengthen (you can see one of my favorite sessions of them here), and now we get to see that with their baby brother. If his newborn session is any indication of what’s to come, Mom and Dad are in for a beautiful adventure!
Documenting Callan’s First Year
It’s easy to say how important documenting these moments are as a Houston newborn photographer. But if you’re a parent, just like this sweet Mama, you understand. She has prioritized documenting her kids frequently so that she doesn’t have to forget all of the big and little moments as they grow up.
Callan is one of our newest First Year Collective babies and we kicked it off with his newborn session in my studio in The Heights. While I took his first portraits, Mom was able to relax for a bit and get her hair and makeup done. Our team even did the girls’ hair and made them feel extra special! After all three girls were ready, it was time for wardrobe and their first portraits as a family of five.
Whether Callan was being snuggled by his big sisters or hanging out with Mom and Dad, he was content as could be. He slept for most of his session. However, he was sure to wake up for a few minutes! We were able to get a good mix of both sleepy and awake portraits. I cannot get over how much hair he has and his sweet little smile. It’s going to be so much fun watching Callan grow this year, and I cannot wait!
We take a limited number of Collective babies each month, so be sure to contact us early.
