This outdoor family session in Houston Heights was an absolute blast to photograph. The sessions that are the best are the ones where clients trust me and are only focused on being present with their family. I can promise you that if you do that, beautiful portraits of your family will be the end result.

Some of that trust does come with familiarity. I have photographed several sessions for this family which means I am not some random stranger holding a camera asking the boys to smile. They know me and are relaxed, and for some kids, that can make all the difference.

It’s one of the many reasons that choosing your family photographer is SO important. Finding someone to work with as your family grows and year after year for family portraits is invaluable.

Family Session with Three Boys

This mom and dad really value portraits and although life is busy with three boys, they make it a priority. I get it, our kids are similar in age, and it’s our lived experiences that have helped shape the client experience we offer our clients. I never want the reason that you put off family photos to be because you’re too busy or it sounds too stressful. My team and I have taken care of every detail so that you don’t have to.

To start, we pampered Mom with hair and makeup. Then, we styled the entire family before heading out for their outdoor family session. I think this may have been my favorite to date!

The boys are older and losing teeth, but they love their Mom and Dad and still know the comfort of mom’s shoulder! Their laughter and joy are so genuine, and I love that we were able to document that and all of their little personalities. We could not have asked for a more beautiful night and the colors in their session were perfect for this time of year.

As fun as their session was, my favorite part has been being able to take their favorite photos and hang them in their home. The four photos that we added are reminders of the love they share and memories they can enjoy over and over again.
