It goes SO fast and the truth is, the memories will fade. Most of us know that, but not nearly enough are doing something about it. Your iPhone photos don’t count…or at least shouldn’t account for all photos you take. 

I say it all the time- I DO NOT tell you these things because am I am a Houston newborn and family photographer. Yes, this is my job. But more importantly, I am a Mom too.

I’ve watched the three babies that I carried in my womb turn into one-year-olds. They are now 10, 8 and 4. I can tell you that not a single year has gone by quicker than that first, and with each year that passes what year do I find myself going back to the most? That first year.

So why the First Year Collective Membership?

If you’re going to be doing multiple sessions, you want the work to be consistent. Having the same photographer helps with consistency, but a big part of it is in the planning too. When you are part of The Collective, we are intentional with location and wardrobe choices. This way, when you go to design a gallery wall or an album, everything will look cohesive.

I cannot tell you how many times I have heard, “I meant to schedule a session earlier, but I’ve just been so busy!” Trust me, I get it. I’ve never felt busier than I did during that first year of each of my children’s lives.

When you book a Collective Membership, you don’t have to worry about that. Rather than 4 sessions for you to remember to book in the right timeframe, everything is done once while you are pregnant. I’ll be tracking those milestones for you and will be reaching out to you when it’s time to schedule your baby’s next milestone session. Your spot is guaranteed on my calendar, which is particularly important if one of your baby’s milestones falls during our busy season in the fall.

Planning ahead and booking The Collective at once will save you money with reduced session fees and complimentary birth announcements. You also receive an Elf Pass for Santa, which is a hot commodity for our most sought-after event of the year, and the best way for your little one’s first meet and greet with Santa.

First Year Album

As a Collective Member, you’ll have the opportunity to create an album of your baby’s first year. It’s a beautiful way to compile your favorite photos and memories to one day be able to share and pass on to your child. I’ll be with you every step of the way from choosing favorites to the design itself.

Cake Smash

Anyone can add on a cake smash to the first birthday session, but when you book a 4-session Collective, you’ll receive a custom cake from BeccaCakes as a first birthday gift from me.

When Should You Book The Collective Membership?

If you’re considering documenting your baby’s first year, we recommend contacting us early in your second trimester. We take a limited number of Collective’s per year, and many parents contact us as soon as they find out they are expecting.
