Houston Photographer | Studio Tour

Nov 7, 2014

Welcome to my happy place.

I’ve been in my new studio for several months now and it is, without a doubt, my favorite place to be, second only to cuddled in my bed with my family. It is located inside a 100 year old house in historic downtown Humble and I love the character of the thick moldings, original rope and pulley windows, and hardwood floors. The location is ideal with my stylist across the courtyard out back, my framer 2 doors down, and the bakery where those delicious cookies delivered in your welcome package is just a block away.

I wanted to create and warm and inviting space that was perfect for meeting with clients, editing at my desk, and of course, photographing the sweet bellies and babies that come and visit me here. It is here we can share a cup of coffee as we plan your wardrobe from my full stocked wardrobe, cuddle with your new baby on my antique poster bed, and sit on the couch pouring over your proofs to pick your favorites for the wall.

Please, come inside…

    Ok, four thoughts on this:

    1) It is easy to see why my friend, Lauren, sees you as a mentor and role model.

    2) Sometimes, I like to pretend I have decent taste. Then I see things like this studio and think, I have taste like a 3-yr old has math skills….I have enough taste to realize you have EXQUISITE taste that I could never in a million years hope to come close to.

    3) I HAVE to visit this ethereal place next time I’m in Houston on business, even if just to bring you a latte, say hi, and try one of those cookies.

    4) That wall colour behind the couch and the portraits is true perfection; what a perfect foil for skin tones and the neutral fabrics. Just….wow.
