After we've selected a date, we ask that you complete our pre-session questionnaire that will allow us to photograph your child exactly how you envision.
We will also discuss possible wardrobe options, whether you choose to bring your own outfit or wish to utilize something from our collection. We stock heirloom outfits ranging from 6 months to 8 years old for boys and girls.

After photographing hundreds of children in Houston, we’ve found that we’re not the perfect fit for every family. That’s why this process begins with a conversation. We want to hear about your children, what your are hoping to capture, and your goals for your heirloom portraits.
We’ll also share all the details of our custom process, and once all your questions are answered, schedule a date for your heirloom or pastel sitting appointment.

Upon arrival to our studio, you and your child will be greeted by our photographer, Leigh. We'll review wardrobe options and allow your child to change. You are welcome to take advantage of complimentary selection of heirloom outfits, or bring your own.
Once ready, Leigh will take over and gently and calmly direct your child to capture a variety of expressions and angles of your child. You can expect each child's sitting to last 10-15 minutes, and then you will on your way.

A few weeks after your sitting, you will return to the studio to make printing and framing selections for your portraits. We will work closely to select the images that best represent your child and then choose the size and framing you wish to display in your home. We strongly believe in the legacy of printed heirloom portraits and only provide web-sized digital files of the images you select for printing.

You Classic Heirloom portraits will be ready for pick-up at the studio within 6 weeks of ordering. Orders over $3000 receive complimentary installation in your home.
Pastel portraits may take up to 6 months to be completed. You will be advised at the time of purchase of the current turn around time. All pastel portraits are delivered and installed in your home.

We have exclusively partnered with the talented Jeni Kelleher to turn your Modern Heirlooms portrait into a stunning piece of art.
After your sitting, you will work closely with Jeni and Leigh to select and fine tune your selected reference image for your final pastel portrait.

QUESTIONS
When will we receive our photos?
Your viewing and ordering appointment will be scheduled 2-3 weeks after your child's sitting. Once your selections are made, your artwork will be ready for pick up at the studio in 6-8 weeks.
Orders over $3000 receive complimentary installation in your home.
Will you photograph siblings together?
Heirloom sessions are designed for individual portraits, but if your children are willing to cooperate, we are happy to attempt a sibling portrait. If we are unable to do that, we offer several composite artwork pieces that can utilize individual photos in one combined piece for your home.
How many photos are typically included and can we print the photos ourselves?
You will be presented with 10-20 images to select your favorite images to be transformed into heirloom artwork. A web-sized matching digital file is provided for each pose that you select for printing that is appropriate for sharing online with friends and family or printing holiday cards.
