After you've secured a date, we ask that you complete our pre-session questionnaire that will allow us to photograph your child exactly how you envision.
We will also discuss possible wardrobe options, whether you choose to bring your own outfit or wish to utilize something from our collection. We stock heirloom outfits ranging from 6 months to 8 years old for boys and girls.

When you are ready to book your child's heirloom portraits, we make the process so simple! Just fill out our contact form below, and you will immediately be sent our pricing guide and calendar to select your session date and time. If you have questions first, we are more than happy to connect with a quick call!

Upon arrival to our studio, you and your child will be greeted by our photographer, Leigh. We'll review wardrobe options and allow your child to change. You are welcome to take advantage of complimentary selection of heirloom outfits, or bring your own.
Once ready, Leigh will take over and gently and calmly direct your child to capture a variety of expressions and angles of your child. You can expect each child's sitting to last 10-15 minutes, and then you will on your way.

Once you've submitted your proof selections, we will schedule a time for you to return to the studio for your design and ordering appointment. During this time, you will see your finished heirloom portraits for the first time, and we will work hand in hand designing and creating the heirloom artwork you want for your home.
With hundreds of frame mouldings, finishes, and specialty products available to you, having our guidance through your order ensures that we will be able to custom design artwork that fits your taste and home perfectly.
Your artwork will be ready for pick or delivery 4-6 weeks after your order is placed.

A few days after your session, you will receive an online proofing gallery to view. Proofs are color corrected and cropped, but are otherwise unedited, allowing you to choose your 5 favorite poses and expressions for us to hand-edit in our signature heirloom style. Heirloom edit is a very labor intensive process and this allows us to focus our efforts on the images you love the most.

After your sitting, you will work closely with Jeni and Leigh to select and fine tune your selected reference image for your final pastel portrait.
PASTEL Portrait
After your session, you will receive a proof gallery to choose your 5 favorite portraits for editing. Once those portraits are hand-edited, we will meet for a design and ordering appointment to choose any artwork you love.
Most families $500-1200+ per child in finished heirloom artwork.

QUESTIONS
What's the best age to take heirloom portraits?
Heirloom portraits are best for children 6 months old (or solidly sitting independently) up to the pre-teen years. Many clients like to visit us on a regular schedule for each child, such as having each child being photographed at 6 months, 2 years, 5 years, and 10 years.
Will you photograph siblings together?
Heirloom sessions are designed for individual portraits, but if your children are willing to cooperate, we are happy to attempt a sibling portrait. If we are unable to do that, we offer several composite artwork pieces that can utilize individual photos in one combined piece for your home.
Can we get the digitals?
We do not offer a digital-only option, but matching files are included with select artwork, and your full gallery is provided complimentary with a $1200 purchase. Printing through the studio ensures the best quality, color, and finish for these special portrits.
