Whether it’s in the studio or a beautiful golden hour outdoor session, I’m constantly in awe of the amazing families I get to work with as a Houston family photographer. Over the last year, I have had the honor of watching Brayden grow from a sweet little newborn to a one-year-old. This session was the culmination of Brayden’s first year collective, and Mom and Dad wanted to do an outdoor session with their family to celebrate.
To start, Mom had her hair and makeup done in the studio. She had a chance to relax and have a few minutes to herself. I am a firm believer that when we can fill Mom’s cup, she can give more to her family. This includes making sure she doesn’t have to stress over what to wear. Our wardrobe makes that easy and because this Mama has worked with us several times now, she is familiar with the client wardrobe. She chose a beautiful white dress with lace detail, and then the guys were in neutrals. I love the little knit romper Brayden is wearing!
Outdoor Session for One Year Session
Once everyone was ready, we headed out for their session. We started just before sunset to ensure that beautiful golden hour light would be in the backdrop. Mom and Dad did a great job relaxing, playing with the boys, and just enjoying their time together. No one stressed over getting everyone to look and smile at the camera. As a result, they have fun, joyful images to look back on as a way to remember Brayden’s first birthday and this season of life.
If you’ve been considering a first year collective or outdoor family session, contact me as early as possible. We take a limited number of collective memberships each year and are booking 2022 family sessions.
