Outdoor Sunset Session for Houston Families

This was session number 7 for this family since their oldest was still in his mama’s tummy and number 8 is already done and number 9 is on the books (I’m a little behind on blogging….) This session was one of my favorites from last fall, not only because I love the people in it, but Sara pushed me out of my color comfort zone and I LOVE how it turned out.

Generally, my stylist keeps my clients in my preferred palette of light neutrals because I think that is was suits my work and vision the best, but Sara found this charcoal grey dress that she loved, so we went with it. The key was to keep plenty of lightness with the other members of the family and that golden sunset warmed it right up.  The results where a look that maintains my signature light and airy look, but injects their family’s personality into the mix, which is always the goal.
